About the artist

Laura Hovey is both an oil and acrylic painter based in New York. Her work ranges from abstract landscapes that critique the destructive nature of rising technology to emotional figurative paintings inspired by past events in her life. She also likes to experiment with shape and color to create complex worlds whether that be painted on canvas or drawn in colored pencil on paper.
